Jesus is God in flesh and has the jurisdiction to tell humans to obey His Commandments, but Jesus ASKED, He did not “Command”………Obama (or any other USA leader) has no right to “command” American citizens…..that is why the ObamaCare is in trouble….the MANDATE command…and unfortunately the latest “job bill” (there IS NO BILL) uses more MANDATE COMMANDS….
Let’s see, they keep demanding he provide a bill, then before he even says what it is, Boehner’s out there telling people not to listen to him, and watch football instead. Let’s indeed go to Soylent green, and use Boehner’s hide for a football- it IS the right color and species!
^Tigger, as do most of “that right wing persuasion”, you ignore the fact that I’ve repeatedly stated I don’t care much for Pelosi or Reid and their long-term actions, and inaction on issues. I’ve repeatedly noted the “Bush tax cuts” never should have occurred, or been re-authorized. I’ve pointed out we never should have had a problem with leaving Iraq, because we never should have allowed “W” to launch the invasion. Don’t approve of Obama CONTINUING TO GIVE THE SAME “BREAKS” TO BUSINESS that REAGAN, Bush41, Clinton, and Bush 43 handed out to the wealthiest individuals, and NOT “PEOPLE” corporations for the last 25 years.
Calling today’s Democratic Party “liberal”, is as inaccurate as tying to call Teapublcans “Republicans”. BOTH parties are WAY to the “right” of “pre-Reagan” days, picking the change date at some time after Nixon, is difficult to pin down to satisfy the overly simplistic, and intellectually challenged, in America’s “body politic” today that finds a stop sign an intellectual challenge. Not everything can be isolated to that red and white, and a single word.
Teddy Roosevelt “busted the trusts” for good cause. Post Depression rules to halt the abuses that CAUSED the Depression were intelligent decisions. REVERSING all those laws and regulations under Reagan, and since, have put us into the trouble we’re in economically, PERIOD!
That neither part is willing to “bite the bullet” and do what is actually needed to head toward, but still not establish a “balanced” budget for some time is a degree of cowardice from those cringing at the thought of how powerful corporate interests are in controlling the mindset of an idiot “public”. My outrage at giving “Big Business” huge tax breaks has hardly been hidden here, nor dissatisfaction with ANY “politician” from EITHER PARTY unwilling to serve the American PEOPLE before their “economic masters” in industry, or gated communities.
^Actually, Bill Clinton was more likely to be “looking for love”(in all the wrong places), and Obama’s personality is much more inclined toward finding resolution and agreement, rather than self-promotion.(despite what our right-wing “shrinks” might think based on their blank data base.)
Now, “W” actually was in a way, looking for love. Cheney on the other hand- could not care less, about what other people think, or for that matter, people.
