So how is it the teacher calls the parent “Val” but the parent call the teacher “Ms. Wingit”? Shouldn’t the teacher be calling the parent “Ms. Stone”, did Jan forget what Ms. Wingit’s first name is (or never give her one), or did we miss some weird first-name-basis vs last-name-basis memo?
My only daughter has a few years to go before 50 but still looks good (and I did at that age) – my avatar is a fairly recent photo from enactment and I was 74 last week.
By the way in response to the first name /last name thing. Val could have been one of Ms Winget’s students. I have had 2nd generations! So cool to hear, you taught my mother! Did know a teacher who heard “you taught my grandfather.”..time to retire!

I know of one English teacher who works with trouble boys and she does okay. If a boy gets unrully she calls for help. Public Safety classification.
