It’s not particularly healthy either that every woman over 18 as well understands without doubt that the most important thing in the world is for her to be thin and pretty. Even if people would tell you off the bat that it doesn’t matter, there are hardly any images in the media of women who aren’t thin and pretty, and in the few cases where there aren’t, there’s a huge emphasis on how they aren’t. People’s idea of what a woman is, is either “young and thin and pretty” or “mother,” where the image of a woman who isn’t thin and pretty is perceived as a deviation from the norm. You can’t blame any female for thinking she feels fat or ugly.
