Chip Bok’s aim is wrong. President Obama has governed tirelessly. Bush-Dick, on the other hand, loved his vacations.

Exactly my reaction. In fact, I was listening to NPR this morning, and they mentioned that throughout the entire debt ceiling fiasco(over a month) that Obama did not leave Washington at all.

He might have been in Washington but did nothing but bloviate the same garbage everyday. Thank goodness they got it done before his birthday.

I note that most of the commentors today, as well as Chip Bok, seem to think that it’s a good thing to “govern.” A true statesman, with the good of the country at heart, does not govern, he or she serves.

As for vacations…Google “How many vacations has Obama has taken.” You’ll find it’s very many compared to other presidents.

Obama is doing a high wire act. Though I concur he’s made slips, most while trying that unAmerican value called negotiation and compromise, he’s got his own people trying to hang weights on this balance pole, the opposing party shooting at him constantly, and he’s still trying to get the country across the gap. The real problem may be a high level of “human nature” typically elevated in the well-off and lazy in America who go to the show to watch the one taking risks fall. Those willing to make sure the rope is tight, stable, and safe, are getting shot at too. We don’t need a “bridge to nowhere”, we need to fix thousands across the country that lead everywhere. The TEA party types are too stupid to pay cheap taxes, instead favoring paying high tolls to “private contractors”, who still won’t maintain the bridges, pocketing the profits, instead of making repairs.

The constant golf analogy is a little absurd considering that Bok’s “hero” Boehner spends far and away more time, and money, out on the links.

Once again they took an old drawing of Bush, made him look black to scare the old people and the racists, and think that this qualifies as a critique of the President.
