So very true. When are “we the people” going to demand “Term Limits” for all congress people

And what about those who ELECTED THEM? Right, the folks who believe in the magic bunny bringing them money every Easter so they can pay all the bills they rang up during the rest of the year! Well, the magic bunny has banked all their nest eggs in the Caymans.

Term limits have been proven not to work. The politicians move from one position to another and then go to lobbying for a while and back to politics.

and the infuriating thing is how successful we are at selecting these blockheads.

Term limits are part of the definition of election. The morons in the House are due for an up-down vote next year. Vote accordingly.

spelvin2002,The other tricky thing is that when we vote someone gets elected. If all the choices are terrible then we replace one bad choice with another. Given the way campaigns work now the level of intrusion into a candidate’s life pushes competent people away but invites shallow attention seekers. So it isn’t enough to vote the current officeholders out we also need to change how we function as a society to open a path for decent people to go in.

The real problem inside the “beltway” is all the folks in Houston, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Switzerland and the Cayman islands filling their own pockets while stuffing spare cash into those inside the beltway.
