Wow. The media I hear/read report both. Fox has done the same… they “Dem” or just being paid to distort?

Both can be deadly — especially with power outage.

You can’t strip down to anything more than skin (comfortably) but water (as in cool water in a tub or pool) can be a lifesaver.

You can always put on more layers (if you have them) but once YOU are cold it’s dreadfully hard to recover.

Hey Vortex, yeah. The heat is an illusion. We’ve used wind chill to describe cold temperatures for years. Applying the same type of index to describe hot temperatures is obviously some sort of commie-pinko plot to brainwash the public.

Hey Vortex, my bad. You’re right, you said it was hot. I misconstrued your whole message. On first look it seemed to me that you were claiming that the media was slanting it’s coverage of the heat in order to serve some liberal agenda. On a second time through I can see I was clearly wrong. It’s hot. Good call.

It’s hotTER, and not just the wet/dry bulb differential. Yes, the media DOES love to display the index, just like Bushco did NOT include two wars in the spending reports.

I interpreted it as a comment on the “Exception Drought” conditions in the southern and southwestern states. I might be wrong.

If I might make a continuation. The Dust Bowl began at the beginning of the Great Depression and ran for six years due to an exceptional drought and monocrops. Gigantic dust storms traveled across the land. Our crash began 2008 versus 1929 and we are in an exceptional drought. Has anyone seen the recent huge Arizona dust storms on YouTube?
