That’s why I always finish all my beers. There may be sober children in India.

Meanwhile, Rob Rogers is perfectly fine with the system that allows this sort of poverty and starvation to happen in the first place. Give idiots like him their way in the world, and everyone will be just as miserable as the people depicted here.

Have any of the morons claiming it’s only “politics” ever SEEN any of these drought-stricken landscapes? Drought in this part of Africa isn’t “new”, it’s been a hardscrabble existence for a long time. Now we’ve got a little “thing” going on down in Texas and the southern U.S. that’s also wiping out croplands in historic proportions, but at least farmers here can get economic relief from those nasty “socialist” government programs. When OUR kids in the U.S. are starving, or go hungry at night, it doesn’t make press, for very different “political” reasons. It is after all just those “lazy homeless”.

We can send all the food money and supplies there we can, but it will never help.

clownsj: You ARE aware the U.S. is the “party” giving the Afghan Army AK-47s, just as we’ve done elsewhere? Place of manufacture has very little to do with who provides whom with weapons. About those stinger missiles bin Laden had.
