At least put them on the top shelf, so we have to do a little stretching to get them.

Sometimes it just feels good to hold a real book in your hands instead of a tiney plastic e-reader or tabley

Pretty hard to get the memory of a meeting with the author, or an autograph, into a Kindle. But shouldn’t diet and exercise go under ‘Religion’?

I prefer reading a real book as well. And I don’t have nor do I want a kindle.

Still like REAL books. I looked at all the e-readers, and found the Kindle the only comfortable one to read (not backlit), and with the over-priced lighted case, can read in the dark. But the main thing was, with three rooms full of bookshelves stuffed to the gills, and a wife who’s a librarian complaining about me having too many books, found I could store a lot more new books on the device- AND put it in my back pocket, but DON’T SIT DOWN ON IT!

and…real books have a bit of heft to them andcan be used for other things. I pounded out a dent in mytruck with a copy of ‘War and Peace’.

I actually saw that movie. As I recall Vonnegut actually got a failing grade on that repor. Loved Dangerfieled in my younger days. Caddyshack as well and all the Dean Martin Roasts.

My Dad subscribed to Reader’s Digest, but I didn’t like it. I was reading a lot of sci-fi books at the time.

The internet will never replace books and newspapers. Ever try to squash a bug with the internet? When was the last time a book gave your hard drive a virus?

Diet and exercise are worthless! I tried them both for a whole hour once and it did nothing for me!Exercise regularly. Eat sensibly. Live healthy. Die anyway.

“Gag Writing Made Easy.” That explains some of these recent strips.
