Dad: ...And a link to a site where we can see, comment on and order ANY photo EVER taken OF or BY ANY of them. ...And links to all their Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, Youtube posts, vacation websites, hobby chat rooms and personal growth blogs. Caption: If we eliminate all other human contact, we'll have a full time job keeping up with the McGuires, a family whose only contact with us used to be a once-a-year "happy holidays!" Dad: I miss the "Christmas Card Friendship."

I miss the good old days when people you actually knew scrawled a little note at the bottom of the card.

We still send out Xmas/Holiday cards, some with a photo & all with a brief note. But due to rising postage costs, we scaled way down.

If I make a card, it will have a personal note and a picture of the kids. Since I can’t manage to get that done, we don’t send any. If I don’t have anything to write to people, they don’t really want a card from me, right?
