Informed voting is the best way. Why do leftists always want a extra-constitutional methods to solve problems?

The constitution allows changes to it by amendments. How else would you do it?

A revolution in media coverage would be useful. Don’t choose which candidates to cover based on how much they have to spend, but on how much they have to say. It’s not a horse-race, don’t tell me where they stand in the polls, but where they stand on the issues. Quit worrying about calling it first & try calling it best.

Yeah DrCanuck, you don’t get any misinformation (or out and out ignorance) from CNN or MSNBC (whch seems to be nothing more than 100% collectivist propaganda). The UNINFORMED were responsible for McCain AND Obama being nominated by their parties, because they’re both idiots. The only problem is, the media (“Faux News” included) didn’t tell us how utterly unqualifed B.O. was (and currently IS). I mean, his lone out-in-the-real-world experience is being a street activist. He’s been carried along his whole life. He didn’t even write his own “memoirs.” The man is a 100% fraud, and yet, that fact isn’t “news-worthy.” He didn’t even know that his birthday wasn’t THIS week (it’s August 4th). The man is an idiot, and that still escapes too many of you

Who to vote for? Presidential conventions are rigged by money and influence. It is not the smartest jackass that is chosen to run, but the one who can raise the most money and political clout. In the end youonly have a choice between two jackasses to vote for, who should you choose????

You know how Repubs like to tell us, “We don’t have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem.”? Actually, we have an electorate problem.

BBC, DrC? You mean the same propaganda machine that the British Royal Navy tossed over the side for being so far left it threw off the nav gear on board? Yeah, you have a balanced perspective. Cut back on the Molsons and Tim Horton, eh?.

That was a metaphor, DrC. The point is that the British Royal Navy officially discourages, and commanding officers have actually forbidden, reception of all BBC broadcasts on board all RN combatants and support vessels. Something about the political slant of the BBC. But by all means, carry on with that noise yourself, just don’t present it as proof you’re well informed.

The BBC, much like PBS strives to be non-partisan, informative, and inclusive. It’s no wonder the “conservative” party of their respective country accuse them of having a liberal slant.

Run away? No, just bored with the usual tactics. I’m not surprised a Canadian doesn’t see what the RN sees in the BBC, so here is a clue: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8626

In case you haven’t read this, it’s basically a Lefty harangue of the BBC for not being leftist enough. But, as is often the case with Lefties, the points being brought up are actually examples that the BBC really is dramatically skewed Left. This is what happens when the centre of the political spectrum is imagined to be somewhere between Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama. Confirmed Left is never Leftist enough.

I have more examples, but I’ll just let you guys pull the usual straw man tactics to discredit this link instead of actually reading the link.

DrC, I’ll admit I was going off memory on specific RN commands actually banning the BBC, which dates to 2003. Here are links with the basic details. http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2003/apr/08/Iraqandthemedia.bbchttp://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/888057/posts.But the RN still officially discourages BBC reception to this day.

Ahab, you deserved that. It was an exact response to the junior high school level taunts in your posting. Honestly, referencing the NYT like that? Whatever. If you care for an adult discussion, and leave out the teabagger taunts, et al., then I can be as evolved and respectful on here as you care to be.

When is Bors going to make a comic about right wingnuts? Do they bomb an abortion clinic, or murder the children of their opposition party? Hmm What would Jesus do?

DrC, I wouldn’t waste my time like that. I purposely brought out left wing sources to you. But having said that, the right wing sites bore me. Same stuff, constantly regurgitated. As for the CBC, well I just don’t know it as well as I know the infamous BBC.
