I’m glad my cat Macushla (pictured on my avatar) didn’t read this. When I want to get up I simply pick her up and lay her down in the chair we were sitting in. She may not be happy but she lives with it.
Robert Heinlein used to tell the story of a Chinese mandarin who once cut off the sleeve to a priceless silk blouse rather than disturb the kitten sleeping on it. My question is, why didn’t he just wait until the ktten woke up and moved on?

I want to get up, pick up cat, stand up, turn around, and dump cat back in chair. I rule the roost.
