are GEEKS killing our English Language?I come from McGuffey readers in 1937 and I love the King James language version of the Bible….it is a shame to see how our American heritage is being trashed….using devices to communicate and the more the electronics improve the worse our knowledge of words and grammar and spelling get. Sigh.
^ I have an English grammar from the 1870’s, things have indeed changed, but texting really is screwing up kids’ ability to think in actual “English”. But then, suppose the same thing is happening to German, Spanish, and other languages as well around the world?
Serious people need more than 140 characters to express serious ideas. Others need Twitter to create a special app for them to answer “srius qs” from children with notthing better to do with their thimbs.
