Phil; Not everyone has a grandmother who'd help them throw a PARTY, Andy! Andy: I KNOW! Phil: What are you going to do now? Andy: Check Facebook to see what kids are saying about it! Phil: Or... Andy: Um...clean up this mess? Phil: Right after you get your gramma a chair and a cold one.

The education of Andy continues …

One of the many reasons why I like Phil. ;-)

Okay, so…am I the only one that thinks Edie is totally dope?

Any time I wonder what a real man would do in a particular situation, I just have to think of Phil. As the ladies used to say in the early part of the 20th century,“My hero!”, with an obligatory flutter of eyelashes. Wonderful Phil!

And you better make sure everything is spotless including scrubbing the bathrooms twice.

Whos gonna be stupid enough to argue with COP?I noticed the Black stripe across Phils’ Badge is there some signifigance to this as usually that is done when an Officer passes usually in the Line of Duty.

Another reason Andy’s not arguing – Edie isn’t his “real” gramma, but she treats him like she is. If you’ve been around kids who have been abandoned by their parents you know that the sense of family is important to them. And yes, go Phil!

Yeah, Grandma needs a couple of cold ones (preferably beer) right about now!

Oh, now this is entertaining: I can read the comments, but not the strip! And refreshing once didn’t help. Maybe if I refresh again…
gosfreikempe over 12 years ago
Thank goodness; refreshing three times worked to let me see the strip. Phil, if you don’t marry Val, will you marry me and help with my teen? Oh, right. I’m not gay. Or single…

Andy is a decent kid, although putting his invitation out on the the net so carelessly was dumb — as many people of all ages have discovered. Phil just needed to remind him that responsibilities take priority.
Georgiiii is right; plus kids will behave better for their friends’ parents than they will for their own.
And lightenup — I know of a couple of parties where the house was much cleaner when the parents got home than when they left.

Why does Phil have elbows and Andy doesn’t?

I guess nothing came from the “Who brought the beer?” comment a few days ago.. I thought he’d end up getting arrested and the G’ma in trouble. Is he 21?
burleigh2 over 12 years ago
Way to go, PHIL!! Thankfully he overlooked the “Hey, kid, where did you get that beer?” statement. ;-)

@TheDoctor – Last I knew Jan Eliot lives not far from Eugene/Springfield Oregon. A few months back one of the Eugene police officers was shot at point blank range by a person he pulled over for a traffic violation. He died on the spot. I suspect Jan has Phil’s badge banded as a sign of respect for our fallen officer.
