The original Trek only lasted three seasons, and no one would discount it for that reason. My brother was a fan from the beginning, before most people had discovered Trek.
The jeans are for two reasons: 1) I often tend to put Carolina in slacks on Saturday, because the dress seems to ‘at work’ for her day off. 2) I’ve found whenever I draw a female character in a skirt in any attitude but straight up on her feet, we get at least one comment about how everybody must be looking up her skirt. So I thought I could head that off.
I saw Leonard Nimoy last summer, as a speaker at a dental convention. He didn’t show us the Vulcan nerve pinch, but he did tell us all about how he came up with the finger position for the Vulcan greeting. It was all based on what he saw a Rabbi do one day, as a kid, during a service at his local synagogue.
