As to the wall, it has proven to be another failed HUGE waste of money and effort, the ’toon could well show the influx of drugs AND “illegals” easily flowing over, under, and through that idiotic fence. It could also show the disruption of “lifestyles” and wildlife along the border, with NO significant reduction in illegal activity outside a few extremely limited areas, where prior staffing and logistics were actually just about as effective.
STOP the illegal drug use in the U.S., with law changes, and more rational policies, and the “wars” will end. Prohibition proved that extremist policies were worse than the “damage” of alcohol, and the same is true of drugs. We still see counterfeiting of tax stamps on alcohol, and cigarettes (more so), but not nearly the crime wave and deaths we saw under Prohibition. We might not find a “cure all”, but if we reject the vaccine, the disease remains virulent and deadly.

Even coca, chewed by Andean natives for millennia has a positive application in oxygenation of hemoglobin at altitude, but subject to abuse, especially when refined, even though cocaine is legal for use in some rhinoplasty procedures— most stock brokers aren’t plastic surgeons.
Gee, and that’s off the top of my head without going to the library. But after making a few hundred drug arrests, I’ve seen the real problem, and put away some of the real “bad guys”. Some dude doing a joint he grew in the back yard for his own use, is NOT the “problem”.

I was in high school in the middle fifties and beer was the week-end buzz that we played with. It doesn’t mean it was OK…it’s just the way it was. Beer on the week-end meant pay-back Monday morning….ouch. But alcohol’s pay-back was the next day…then it was over….not downstream by the drugs of today…so bad that it really adversely affects the personality development of the emerging teenage mind. That’s my understanding…am I wrong?

The thread (you knew what it was) was meant that the drugs didn’t occur naturally in the blood stream as alcohol does, but if you want to distort and rationalize that I was referring to drugs not occurring naturally in nature then I need to move on.

and many countries have proven that their societies don’t go down the drain when drugs are legalized.
all it does is stop ‘law enforcement’ from creating violent situations and wasting billions of dollars. the REASONs why drugs are illegal:
