How did Bush and Cheney save your ass….they took us to a fake war…yellow cake, WMD, Saddam Hussein- Al Qaeda connection…all lies. Thousands of Americans dead, hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis lives destroyed. Ten trillion in debt and that is not including three trillion for health care for the wounded in their dirty little war.
They took a government surplus and gave out tax breaks. Now that the government is in debt, the one thing off the table is taxes.
Bruce4671 is correct. Obama’s “change” has been to take all of the worst aspects of the Bush 2 administration, and double-down on them. He’s taking us down the same “progressive” path as Dubya did, but he’s taking us down the destination of ruin as fast as he can take us there.
The obvious course for America is to turn around and go in the opposite direction, but not even the Republicans are suggesting that. They just want to slow the rate of ruin down a bit, but still head in the same direction. Either way, America is over.

The cartoon doesn’t show that the tracks and the bridge have been dismantled by the Bush GOP.
