Pat Oliphant for June 23, 2011
Transcript:
Aid: Ah, there you are - Sir, will we soon be getting out of Afghanistan? Obama: Yes, we won't. Aid: Then, would we be redirecting war funds to urgent domestic needs? Obama: No, we will. Aid: Would we be prepared to say that right out loud? Obama: Yes, we wouldn't. Aid: 'Axelrod', I keep telling myself, 'in these tough times you need the work, you need the work.' Obama: Anything else?

Domestic spending? On what? We already have our tax cuts. *

To Obama’s credit, we’re pulling out faster than the top brass want.

Rich, the publicity-stunt invasion of Grenada on falsified claims to take attention off of getting caught with our pants down in Lebanon kinda undercuts that admiration.More in line with your argument: 1967: Campaigning Richard Nixon, as a private citizen, sends envoys to the Vietnamese peace talks with a message to the South Vietnamese – stall, dither, walk out, and I’ll double-down on the war (one might say treasonous to undermine the peace negotiations) 1968: Nixon gets elected and does, sending tens of thousands of Americans to their deaths. 1975: We pull out of Vietnam

The real answer to this is simple. it will work, it will rid us of the muslim problem once and for all, and it won’t cost any American lives.Sea of Glass. Say it loud people. Let them hear you all the way in DC…

Another twofer…large nosed Jew talking to shiftless, jiving ‘darky’ down at the fishin’ hole. Pat’s on a roll. I can see why conservatives like these.

I grew up with this kind of imagery in the Deep South, Jack. The good ol’ boys in the KKK always joked about Jewish people (in this case, Axelrod) having big noses and African-Americans as shiftless and lazy ‘darkies’ skipping work to go fishing (Obama). Here we are again, back to the same old offensive stereotypes. All it took was having a Black President to rekindle it. So, I’m a ‘bigot’ for pointing it out? Too bad we as a country still hang on to this stuff. I like Oliphant, he’s the best, but if I were Jewish or Black, I’d be very offended by this. Just sayin’.

It is the royal “WE”. After all, Obama and his krewe did stay at Buckingham Palace.

Yesterday Obama was barefooted, lazily wasting away his summertime down the way from all the farm work he was avoiding, just a Porgy and Bess summertime where the living is easy, whereupon several Mormons disturb his reverie. That’s what Mormons do, along with all their rampant polygamy, right? At least according to many of the comments.

It also gave OBL the impression that America was a paper tiger. He found out different but, at what cost.

He is “The Decider” now, after all.

Much younger, Jack. I’m still in the Deep South and things have changed, but much of the old attitude remains. If you only know of your niece being the victim of reverse racism, and you didn’t see any other, then you weren’t paying attention. The ‘Stars and Bars’ of the Old Confederacy is very popular and the Klan and the National Alliance are still very active. I don’t expect Oliphant to change, or you either, but I would like to remind people that such imagery is painful for many and creates an attitude that should have died long ago.

Richard Russel, ask Ollie North where the explosives used in Lebanon came from, and who his good friends were that he supplied as part of “Iran-Contra”. Sorry, Ronnie deserves absolutely NO credit on Lebanon, only more blame that he won’t get from his idealist idiots.

I never said there wasn’t racism against whites, Jack. I was only explaining the racial history of Oliphant’s imagery and why it is so ugly. I will not defend any kind of racism. You are also correct that racism can be found everywhere. Let’s try to end it.

Does this troop reduction mean he’s deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize?
