Unfortunately, people panic. The lesson from Japan ought to be to take better precautions.

When it comes to energy independence the Germans are doing it. Solar Panels in every home and they are subsidized by the government. Well done!

All that means is that you pay for the extra cost in electricity through your taxes rather than directly. Subsidy sure as hell doesn’t mean free.

Radish,When you take in all the costs solar power is still more expensive per KH than fossil fuels. When you figure out how to get people to pay for that difference or lower the cost you’ll see more progress. I’m all for reducing dependence on FF but to watch people make economically stupid comments drives me up the wall. At least we may have a chance of derailing the idiotic ethanol policy sometime soon.

I wish we could all get together in our country and come up with a real Energy plan. We all need to compromise and come up with a plan that uses a little of everything, in other words, DIVERSIFY.

Yep all those ‘free’ subsidies just appear out of thin air, as if by magic right?Hey Libtards. Would you care to tell us where Germany gets the money for those subsidies?

They are actually. And you know what happens when you give back power to the power companies.

They also don’t allow 40% of their population to go without paying taxes while the top 1% pays 50% of their taxes.THAT’S your sufficient tax base
