Gosh Joan, you want your son to lose his first job?! (that is, if he has one)

Joan is Andy’s aunt, not mom. I can’t remember why he is living with them instead of his parents…..

My mom and dad went off on vacation when I was 14. They didn’t leave any food in the house . But at least they left me an American Express card…

I’m totally dreading the first time I leave one of mine home alone for a while. Eek.

@bagbalm: sounds like “Home Alone” and lots of fun!

On the news year or so ago there was a family who left for a vacation when they got back was in total shock. Apparently one of their kids gave a friend house hold key information and boy other kids had a free for all. Lots of damaged, theft, and special wrappers in bedrooms. Police where involved.

Left my 18-year-old home with his 21-year-old brother for two weeks; came home to find the house reeking of cheap cigarettes, and the 21-year-old gone to his grandmother in another state ahead of an arrest warrant for providing the alcohol for the 18-year-old and his 17-year-old friend, which friend was in the hospital from alcohol poisoning. So age doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

Leave a child home alone at your own risk. Despite what training you have given, you will find out which parts really have sunk into their minds.

How sad is it that my parents completely trusted me to stay alone and I didn’t WANT to. I was too afraid! Imagine!
