Deregulation and tax cuts starting with Reagan. Reagan and Bush 41 both saw the light and raised taxes to save the economy from their mistakes. “W” went full force like the farmer killing his chickens to increase egg production. The theory of lower taxes increasing income has never proven to work. Also, taxing the poor to support the rich was called Feudalism- Cheney and AEIs favorite form of “government”.

The manic insistence on deregulation cause more damage than the tax cuts. The GOP insisted on.legalizing fraud and massive theft, and when the global system collapsed, the Obama administration had to frantically shore it up – then the GOP blame them for the results.

Anyone who thinks the Bush Tax Cuts have the slightest thing to do with the current economy, needs to be removed from the gene pool immediately…

lol…our problems started long before that. The problem started when the government decided Robin Hood was a great movie and later found that the Soviet Union was a great model of ultimate control….so it goes back to our dictator FDR who started us on the welfare kick, but even he knew 1. public unions were bad, and 2. Social Security was a hoax. He only agreed to Social Security because his wife was going to out him as the philanderer that he was. later, Kennedy invited the horror of public sector unions (private sector ones are okay) then add to that Pres Johnson’s power grab of making us a welfare state….all Democrats! However, Nixon, a republican did the stupid price control stuff, which eventually led us to Pres. Jimmy, who tied all of this to automatic increases…. Time and time again, when you cut spending, give THE PEOPLE back their money, the economy flourishes…take away the people’s money, increase spending…economy flounders….Pres Reagan saved us from ruin. Our economy did well UNTIL…Pres Papa Bush started TAXING us more…Pres Clinton had the luxury of a REPUBLICAN house and senate, and the market did well, didn’t it? Tax cuts aren’t the problem….SPENDING IS!

Sr NONliberal — suggest you do some reading from sites where the writers are not wearing tinfoil hats to protect them from CIA mind-control lasers. I started to counter your claims, and realized I’d have to comment on every sentence. Some more than once.

FACT: Revenue DECREASED under the Bush tax cuts (read the rest of the report you keep giving me credit for)

FACT: Big Government increased under Bush by 30% (See Homeland Security)

FACT: GOVERNMENT JOBS Increased under the Bush administration. Jobs started to ship overseas following the Bush tax cuts

This what we consider to be failed policy. Trickle down economics….I mean, uh, Free Market economics doesn’t work. It didn’t work then and its not gonna work now. Its funny how you call Bush a bad president but you’re quick to point out his “sucesses”. Losers?
