    I once pointed out a robin to a visitor from Thailand. His response was, “Can you eat it?”Ever since I’ve been wondering what they might taste like.

    bdaverin……in that case I probably wouldn’t like it. They’re so small anyway, they’re probably not worth bothering with – a bit like frogs’ legs.

    @aaren. Yes. At one time they were actually considered game birds in a few states (NC for one) and there was a hunting season and a daily bag limit. Obviously it took a lot to make a meal just filleting off the breast meat.
