Ripley’s Believe It or Not has been traditionally black and white. When this strip began news papers did not print color.

It has traditionally been in color BEFORE it was ported to Gocomics.com, when it was still on Comics.com.

Also, why don’t the RSS feeds work and why have I not received my daily email yet?

Funny, America was supposed to be a country with “freedom” of religion yet back then they didn’t even allow catholics to vote!

Please go back to color and print it a bit larger, Even at 150% magnification it is still too small.

Yes, I think a little patience is in order here. They just took on a LOT of new content .. let them work it out, and if you can’t stand NOT seeing it in color, I believe you can still see it in color on www.ripleys.com

I agree,Madame. Those numbers are nothing to sneeze at. The glitches will be fixed I’m sure. The center of the earth was not reached in one day!

AshburnStadium, “Yes” to your questions.Several of the founders of American Colonies had hopes of living in a colony governed by their religion, and wanted freedom to practice their religion free from the English government or the Church of England. However, they were not seeking “freedom of religion” as we understand it today. (Puritan colonies in New England, Quakers in Pennsylvania, Catholics in Maryland, for example.) In some cases, those within such colonies were intolerant of other religion. Some other colonies were founded not for religions reasons, but for business reasons (Virginia, for example).Maryland was founded as a Catholic colony. But, some Puritans migrated there, and a conflict between Catholics and Puritans ensued. At times, the Puritans were in power. When William came to power in England, the protestants in Maryland were able to outlaw Catholicism.
