Oh, heck, baslim, don’t forget Eisenhower, FDR, possibly Bush I, and who knows how many more? My favorite crew being the leaders of the effort to take down Clinton on “moral” grounds, damn near every one of whom had philandering in their past or (in Newt’s case) at the same time they were loudly criticizing Clinton for it — who at least worked out his marriage and stayed married!

We really dodged a bullet with Edwards…Can you imagine if he had been elected before we found out about him? It would probably be impeachment by acclamation…..

Ike had a mistress for decades. Our “founding fathers” got a bit randy as well, think Ben Franklin- who indeed provided some of our best and truest lessons on democracy, decency, AND morality!! The best thing about Ben was his general lack of hypocrisy. He gave us the post office, public libraries, volunteer fire departments, and so many things that built America, and neocons and TEA party types today would definitely call him a Communist- at best.

Private proclivities have replaced public prostitution, or rather - prostituting the public- as the area of concern, in the “facebook society” of mindless mass meddling in other’s business.

We need to pay attention to folks screwing the public (economically) with favoritism, tax breaks, and subsidies, rather than those doing it in what should be private.

Bruce, I’m not 100% happy about Obama’s not keeping SOME of his promises (he’s kept most of the small ones, but not some of the big ones), but get your facts straight. The GE tax breaks were not his.

Actually, just a statue of the great “TEA sipper” movement, and their neocon friends and “managers”. After three decades of shafting the public under “Reaganomics” even given that Reagan hisself, and “GHW” had the sense to pull out of the crash, temporarily, the right wing behind “W” blew their wad totally, and the ignorant still can’t see the light to pull out.
