That’s what you get when you fear a word yet barely know what it really means…it can be applied to anything and make you run away like a rabbit!

Government’s not the problem. It’s the solution.

kelly - Sen. Obama was born in Hawai’i - ergo he is a natural-born citizen. End of Story.

Have we met before? cause i don’t recall….

There is a big difference between a temporary solution as we see now with all this Gov. Bailouts and rescues plans, and a permanent Socialist Doctrine like that supported and proposed by Socialist NOBAMA and many of the Liberals in charge of congress now….

Read the real info, the court documents, rather than snopes. I’ve read snopes and find a few things missing from their “opinion”. There IS evidence that Barry was born in Kenya - statements from half brothers and sisters. There is also a statement from his grandmother (who has never been to Hawaii) bragging about being in the hopsital room when he was born. And don’t forget that Obama himself said “my Kenyan citizenship expired”. Now, it is my understanding that the only way he would have had kenyan citizenship is to having been born there.

kellykid: Your ignorance is showing… cover it! There are different concepts around the world regarding citizenship. In some places, you need to be born there. In others, you only need to have a native parent to be granted with a citizenship (I beleive that could be the case of Sen. Obama). In others, just been born there means nothing. (For example, try to born in israel from non-israeli parents and see if they consider you israeli). . Internationally, it is also considered that a person born on a ship in international waters, is citizen of the country were the ship belongs to. Other countries also may give you a citizenship if you are a descendant of a native (like spain or italy do…) even if you are a grandchildren. . So, check the facts, enlight your self, read some books; then post your thoughts.

Nice personal attack Alex. I’ve read a enough - and I’ve heard Obama speak. Having an american parent, though it helps, is not the only requirement for citizenship in this country. In BOs case, since his mother was not 19, the only way for him to be an american born citizen was for him to have been born here. Obama claimed that “my kenyan citizenship expired. The only way he would have had a kenyan citizenship was to be born there. Obama also claims to be a citizen of the world, but has never claimed to be a US citizen in his speeches.

But even more damaging to Obama than that, why doesn’t Obama just give permission for people to get a look at the “vault copy” of his birth certificate. Easy answer - he’s hiding something.

There is no “no-fail, magic recipe in politics” stuff changes; economy, demographics, needs, politics… So political doctrines need to change, too.

When he was 19, he had ro decide which citizenship to allow to lapse (apparently under Kenyan law, since he couls be a dual citizen for the rest of his life under US law).   I suspect you are wrong about whether he’d have US citizenship if his mother was under 19 (assuming he hadn’t been born in Hawaii), but it is, after all, irrelevant.   It is, after all, possible to be a citizen of three contries by birth - i’ve known at least one such. (British father, USAian mother, born in Trinidad.)   Perhaps you need to read actual textbooks rather than political scare propaganda.

KK: it was not a personal attack, just a piece of advise. You failed EVERY time in producing any document proving with FACTS what you are writing. . . . FpF masterfully explained why your declamations made NO SENSE. But if you need something more:

You do not need to be born in Kenya to have a Kenyan citizenship. period. It does not matter if any of your US born parents is underage to be an US Citizen. period. You and me, and 9 billion souls more we are all citizens of the world, even if you don’t like it. Let me ask you something: Isn’t being a US citizen for at least 9 years one of the conditions to become US Senator? - Since Barack Obama IS INDEED an US Senator, your claims against his citizenship fails massive and catastrophically… . . . YAWN….

As lesser evils go, McCain is it. I’m voting for the candidate with more administrative and executive experience than the other three combined - PLUS she has a higher rating of those she governs than any other sitting Governor - better than Bill Cinton when he ran Arkansas! Many hardened femanists are supporting her; others are striking out at the superior examples she sets. The lady exemplifies what a woman not born to or married to wealth or fame can become with little help but a loving husband and true American determination. The rest of my ballot will be for Third-Party candidates. Can’t do any worse than those sitting in congress now! I’m looking for REAL change!

America is no more a lassez faire capitalist nation than it is a socialist nation. It has elements of both. It would be nice to be able to have an intelligent dialogue on the issue. Social Security is going to save a lot of retirees from dire poverty after the Wall Street crash, and nationalized health care similar to what Europeans get would save Americans up to 50% on health care while providing better outcomes than we get out of the present system, though we pay 200% what they do. What’s not to like, unless you are a health care executive? The other benefit that Europeans get from nationalized healthcare is that they will never go bankrupt because of their health. That’s the #1 cause of bankruptcy in the U.S., by the way. My mother may lose her (100% paid for) house and life savings due to illness. So the next time a politician warns you about socialism, kick him in the pants.
