nomad2112, Clinton had no more attacks on our soil after the basement bombing of the World trade center. So by your reasoning, he should get credit for that, and to follow that point, it is entirely Bush’s fault the the next one came on his watch and was so devastating. Well, it was his fault, but because he was asleep at the wheel or clearing brush, or reading “My Pet Goat” or something.

I love the way the Republicans, without any sort of showing of cause and effect, claim they were the reason for no more attacks.
By unnecessarily attacking Iraq, they gave Al Qaeda a recruiting boon beyond their wildest dreams.
Surprised they aren’t taking credit for the absence of major meteorite strikes during Bush’s years, too.
