September 26, 2002: C.I.A. Director George Tenet warns Bush not to talk about faulty "they can attack in 45 minutes" intelligence. (Bush: The Iraqi regime possesses biological and chemical weapons... they could launch an attack in as little as 45 minutes.) October 1, 2002: Tenet issues a national intelligence estimate stating that the C.I.A. had "little specific information" on WMDs on Oct. 7 Bush said: (Bush: Facing clear evidence of Peril, we cannot wait for the final proof, the smoking gun, that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.) December 21, 2002: Bush sees another report indicating no proof of WMDs. Bush tells tenet: (Bush: This is the best we've got?!) (Man: Its' a slam dunk!) June 2, 2004: Still no WMDs (Man: You're firing me? I'm the only one who told the truth. (Bush: Except for that sports metaphor! I didn't understand the rest!)
