Toles is on target with this cartoon. The cover could have been funny IF 13% of the population (Pew Center poll) didn’t believe Obama is a Muslim (by which, I’m sure, most mean terrorist). If ONLY “New Yorker” insiders saw the cover, they’d be “rolling in the aisles”. Unfortunately, some portion of the 13% will now believe their original fears have been confirmed.

This is a fantastic comic by Toles, and is attacking the elitist liberal media. You should be thrilled.
Unless of course, you think that the cover of the New Yorker was absolute truth, and therefore you are offended it would be compared to racism.
