This is why Snoopy has never been to Toronto.

Eli – No, it’s a blue jay.Woodstock is yellow. And as this strip appears to be dated 1964, he won’t appear for several more years, or have a name till a few years after that.

@Grog (from yesterday)The strip said 240 at bats. Your comment said you calculated 250, implying the strip was wrong. If your point was about patience, it could have been made without mentioning the discrepancy. My point is, except for a 1.000 BA, you can’t calculate at-bats from BA; you can only estimate that number, even if you know the number of hits.

Woodstock was named after the 1969 Woodstock music festival. The character actually appeared prior to 1969, but Schulz didn’t give him a name until 1970.

I can handle the blue jays. It’s the pigeons that I have a problem with.

Peanuts is a classic comic, #1 on my list and I am 84-years-old. “Peanuts” offers humor and wisdom. Just reading it makes my day.

Snoopy should just put the nasty little creature to rest. He is a dog, you know, and one fatal bite should do the trick.
