Holly: Hey, Mom...what would you think about me gettin' some INK?
Val: Sure, Holly...I'll stop by the computer store after work.
Holly: I MEAN...a tattoo.
Val: HA HA HA HA HA HA
HA HA HA HA HA HA
HA
Alix: I don't think that's a YES.
Ask for some laundry-markers, Holly–then you can get a DIY tattoo without the piercing and pain, though you may have to take mum’s (and others’) guffaws for awhile!
i knew a lady that had “paul newman” tattooed on her left inner thigh, and”robert redford ” on the other one, they weren’t realistic, but that”willie nelson” in the middle…

i hope they are at a red light. she can always get a sharpie, that is what i done when i wanted to agravate my mother. she was always saying when you turn 18 you can get a tat. well i was 16 i think at the time and i got me a sharpie and drew me a big beautiful cross on my leg and something on my arm then one a cross on my foot. i had a freind who was a tattoo artist and she helped me. it was great. my mom threatened my life. she wanted me to get something else crazy like you know. she is not a christian so she didnt want that.
They should sit down & talk about what art & where, and then mention the needles, pain, inability to show it in the sun at first… Holly will back down.
I’ve never understood why people get tattoos. It may be “cool” (so they say) for a time, but what if you get tired of it? And, as you age, the wrinkles will make it look weird! Besides, it’s a whole lot of unnecessary pain.

Good idea prasrinivara. That way she’ll be able to remove it when she decides she doesn’t like it, rather than it be a permanent scarring of her body.

When my daughter wanted a tattoo, I told her she had to wait til she was 18 and use her own money.
