He replies,"Don't you Know?"<br> <br> He continues, "This is the time of year when we all write to the 'Great Pumpkin' and tell him what we want for halloween"<br> <br> Linus licks the envelope and continues, "The 'Great Pumpkin' Loves little children"<br> <br> He concludes, "I can see him now rising up out of the pumpkin patch with his big bag of toys!"<br> <br>

I have a theory of why he believes this. So one day on Halloween, CB bought a kite. To be a bit “festive”, he made it pumpkin-shaped. He needed a good place to fly it. On Halloween night, Charlie tried to fly it. Linus was trick-or-treating and he saw the dark silhouette of a pumpkin. “What was that?” he wondered. The pumpkin had fallen into a tree, so after Linus looked again it was gone. Linus realized that it must be the Holy Spirit of Halloween! And why would he fly through the air? To give kids candy and other trinkets! Of course! Linus wanted to see if his guess was true, so he waited in the Pumpkin Patch to this day to find out. The End.

On Halloween night the Great Pumpkin rises out of the pumpkin patch that he picks as the most sincere, then he flies through the air bringing toys to all the good children in the world!
