"Hey!" Lucy says to Linus. He sits on the floor, surrounded by toys, and frowns.<BR><BR> She keels down and reaches for the toys: "Gimme those toys!!!"<BR><BR> "Everything's mine! MINE! MINE! MINE!" She cries as she walks off with all the toys. Linus sits on the floor and sighs.<BR><BR> "Here...I guess you can have this rubber band...Have fun with that.." She tosses it to him.<BR><BR> Linus examines the rubber band.<BR><BR> He stretches it over his hands.<BR><BR> He twists it around in lots of ways.<BR><BR> He twists it around in other ways, enjoying himself immensely.<BR><BR> "What's going on here?!" Lucy demands as she stalks up behind Linus. Startled, he jumps and drops the rubber band.<BR><BR> "GIMME THAT!" She grabs the rubber band away. Linus reaches out for it. [PANEL 11]: "I didn't mean for you to have THAT much fun!" Lucy announces as she walks off. Linus grimaces.<BR><BR>

Another one of my favorites, that has stayed in my memory for oh so many years! a posthumous ‘thank you’ to Mr. Schulz for the years of laughter!

This is #3 of my all-time favourite Peanuts-comic-strip (#2 is 1952/03/09 and #1 is 1977/12/12). The joy small childen can have with simple things and Lucy´s cruelty perfectly displayed. Look at Linus in the picture 8 and 9.
