Charlie Brown leans over him and says,"Smile, Schroeder..."<BR><BR> He stoops next to Schroeder and continues,"C'mon, Schroeder, smile...you can do it" Schroeder raises his eyebrows.<BR><BR> As he smiles, Charlie Brown exclaims, "He did it! He's smiling!! He's smiling at me!"<BR><BR> They both look at the reader, and Charlie Brown concludes,"Gee! I feel like a father!"<BR><BR>

In the first panel Schroeder’s face looks like Ludwig van Beethoven’s face. But in the last panel Schroeder’s face looks like Charlie Brown’s face. I’m not sure that’s progress.
