It was a little something I learned back in school, either elementary (keep wanting to say it was a Scholastic Weekly Reader article which would have been elementary for me) or seventh grade science. By trying to prevent forest fires we’re actually both setting up conditions to ensure a much worse forest fire as well as ensuring those plants that actually need fire to release their seeds are unable to disperse their seeds.
