Holly: Officer Jackson? Why are YOU here?
Phil: It's raining and your Gramma is gone, so I volunteered for shuttle service.
Phil: You usually go straight home after school, right?
Alix: No...we usually stop for jelly doughnuts. Honest.

He’s a cop. She said “donuts.” The odds are decent.

Nothing like being shuttle to and from school in the back of a squad car. Bet that turns a few heads, both students and teachers alike.

Yes, good story, Fairportfan2! I was thinking along those lines too, where depending on your neighborhood, a ride in the squad car could either get you some respect or a beating.

I didn’t think that police or sheriff’s could do that with tax payer’s money. I guess the police could consider part of patrolling maybe off their beat. By the way I think the story is funny too. Those girls know a good thing and how to use him I wonder if he will fall for it?

kab2rb, I suspect Phil is on his way home going off shift so has “permission” to use the car off duty. He strikes me as too aboveboard to break regs.

Agree, pibfan868. shift change and out of school sorta close in time.

@kab2rb, since he is a policeman, should he be expected to be able to tell when somebody is lying? or would he turn off that skill when with people he thinks of as “special”?

Phil probably treats perps lying to him differently than his GF’s kids trying a scam on him. He’d better have a sense of humor! Wait, Jan draws him – he must have!
