All week, all around me, fires have raged, power has been turned off, and people have been displaced….

worst of all, some have lost their homes and businesses.

 

Through it all, through incredible luck, or divine intervention, whatever you choose to believe…. I not only have been safe, and have had electricity..

I have also, as a minor detail, had NO trouble with my internet connection OR the GoComics site.

 

The fire is much better controlled now… though still burning, on the side away from town….

Most people are returning to their homes, and things are getting part way back to normal.

So…. tonight when I got home from a couple of late errands I’d been avoiding when we were advised to stay close to home…

I had no internet.

 

I’ve been waiting and testing and waiting and testing…. and suddenly, I have NO idea why… it’s back….

My first thought was maybe they started their day with a group visit to the company chiropractor…

Dear C&C Friends of Rotifer Thalweg

I am afraid I have some ominous news about Rotifer. He may not be with us anymore.

A representative of GoComics (I think Rotifer said his name was Mr. G.C. Mod (I’m sure he’s a very nice man and a good and faithful employee)) took exception to Rotifer writing “I will not premeditate” 100 times in a comment about a week ago, called it spam, and banned poor Rotifer (thank you Ms. Sunshine for some of the sleuthing you sleuthed on this issue).

Well, Rotifer became very depressed that the nice Mr. G.C. Mod (“Mod” is an odd name – I hear it is common in Belchertown) thought he was a spammer. When he gets very depressed his pasta addiction rears its ugly head. He was last seen running down the street waiving a bowl of Kraft™ Macaroni and Cheese (made from the value-size box) at anyone who tried to stop and help him.

He’s been gone for days. I fear the worst.

I had to give up at 9 differences. BooHoo. In looking at the GIF (from our semi-anonymous GIF maker) the one I missed was so easy! Go figure.
