The years from 1983 until roughly the end of the Clinton administration were great years economically, with rising incomes across the board. They were prosperous years, the like I fear we will not soon see again.
scott, it’s not that Oliphant and Rall are only “sometimes” honest/non-ideological, it’s that both are capable of weilding the knife with either hand. You only seem to acknowledge these cartoonists’ “honesty” when they agree with you.
I agree that it’s admirable of both men to be able to be equally uncompromising towards either side, but even when I disagree with them on specific topics I don’t imagine they’re propagandizing.
On the other hand, I have never seen Glenn McCoy, for example, do a cartoon that was remotely uncomplimentary to the GOP, Bush/Cheney, Limbaugh, Fox News, etc… He’s a good cartoonist, but he’s firmly in the pocket of the Right Wing.
Fritzoid, you’re quite right, and thank you for calling him out on it. But, I regret to inform you that you’ve now disagreed with scott regarding the “terrible”, “blasphemous”, “gay-loving”, etc comics that (according to scott) Oliphant usually writes, and now you’ll have to go to hell. Sorry!
I hadn’t realised before seeing this cartoon how closely Timothy Franz Geithner resembles Nicolas Paul Stéphane Sárközy de Nagy-Bócsa. Or is a single actor here playing a double role ?…

Odds may be better here. The real problem was the magnet under the wheel for the last 25 years called “Reaganomics”.

Dtroutma, you seem to have an axe to grind.
