Why doesn’t someone remark on the fact that there are rocks just under the surface. McCain has yet to find his way around.

It sounds like the republicans are jealous that bs doesn’t float.

Looks like Pat O. is getting into a recurring theme again, something he does from time to time.

( Probably the best was his ‘Uncle Sam as WC Fields’ bit from the Carter/Reagan years. We still see this from time to time in his work. )

I predict we’ll be seeing more of the Obama-walking-on-water theme in the future.

I find the whole Obama walking on water idea pretty silly. When did Obama or anyone else say he walked on water? Didn’t that come from Faux News?

This is almost as silly as McCain’s “the candidate doesn’t speak for the campaign.” No, wait, that’s just bleeep funny.

Rick – I agree. He is a candidate that inspires hope, but only Stew thinks we worship Obama.

And hope is all we can have after these past 2 dreadful terms.

Pat O. is partially referencing Peter Seller’s role as “Chauncey Gardiner” in BEING THERE.

StewieZ says: “I may think it but you practice it.”

Don’t worry StewieZ, We’re holding out Hope for you as well. As painful as that is to hear from us. I trust that you’ll be OK with it once the American Regimen change occurs and 200,000 troops come hope to pump money back into our economy.

T1nd0g- and unfortunately for the wrong reasons; a report I heard this morning told of an uptick in alcoholism among returning soldiers.

Herbabee…yes, and apparently, it’s worst among the National Guard troops and Reservists.

(nods to Simon) for they weren’t properly trained for their mission. Thanks, Rummy, for ‘war on the cheap’!

Whether or not there coming home with issues. I feel is besides the point. They’ll still help out our economy more if they’re over here and not over there.

Granted, T1 - if somebody could at least just plug up that sinkhole in the sand!

Once W is gone and Obama is in, we’ll pay for psych for the vets that need it and treat them w/ the respect they deserve rather than using them as cheap political pawns.
