I’m not sure some Canada First Nations Peoples would necessarily agree with the humble, kind, etc. part.

Canadians love to put a blind eye to our history. Act like we never had slavery because we gave it up before the States. Act like we never had concentration camps for Japanese people, act like Acadians weren’t force to flee from the maritimes and gave their farms to the Scots.

We have lots of skeletons in the closet, but people prefer to act like it didn’t exist.

By the way, what the f** does this have to do with this stupid cartoon?

lorax, we were deported by the british. We are part of Canada now, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

It was not all that humble to come up with that joke in the first place but I think it’s kinda cute.

For the record, as someone of mixed Canadian & US parentage, I am intensly proud of either nation when they are at their best - I’m just also aware of what they have done when at their worst.

As for making his thread fit the cartoon, just change the aboriginal type to Inuit or Cherokee depending on where the polution ends up. (Pollution never crosses borders, don’tcha know!)

Hey, a non-Canadian made the joke, so the claim of Canadian humility is intact!

Well the tribes people living off the land dont really contribute to that waste andarent really to blame.

Maybe we should start following there actions, it doesnt pollute.
