Is it just remotely possible, Andy, that you could procrastinate on that job for one day?

She could quit ironing, cooking, cleaning – whatever – and nobody would notice. If she wanted…

    StrangeTikiGod, good one.

You know, I think this is a funny strip. But it would be a lot better if you could tell the characters apart.

I feel your pain Andy . Having been observer in a delivery room , ONCE . Working is much easier than labor .

I’m doing the laundry as I speak (no ironing - all perma-press!) so that my dear hubby has clean clothes for work this week. At least he is doing some work around here, so I don’t feel quite the martyr that Andi does.

With 3 kids and 2 Adults in the house, no the cooking and cleaning and washing and ironing can’t be put off for one day. Besides she may have taken the day before off. I know how much I’m behind taking one day with just one kid and us parents.

That cloud behind Roger makes it look like he has a tuft of hair. Am I the only who hadn’t noticed?

I’m not so sure, newworldmozart. Cooking I can understand, but nobody is so short of wardrobes in such a family (none I know of personally, anyway) that one day’s delay is going to kill them.

Rakkav take it from me- we unpaid housebound domestic service people need to keep up a sprightly pace to keep things ticking over. A load of laundry is not necessarily just “a load of laundry” but more of a pre-emptive strike!

And she’s still going through labor this very day.

When my kids got old enough I taught them how to washclothes and dry. Did they have fabric softners back then? I use that now.

Comixavier, I thought that was his hand perched behind his head, as it looks like his right arm is extended upward alongside his head so the hand would be behind / on top of his head.
