The “D” is for Howard Dean. The “R” is for Rahm Emmanuel. President Obama has made the mistake of giving the power to the corporate whores while telling his base to salute whatever Rahm comes up with.
That’s not going to work. Either Obama gets involved, or he has to let the people who care the most to get the job done!

More like some miniscule reform of insurance industry abusive practices and forcing people into individual private insurance plans, the most restrictive plans on the market with the highest profit margins of all categories of health insurance. Insurance industry wins so far, no guaranteed competition.
I wonder if people here realize that Obama cannot do anything in regards to this. All he can do is EXECUTE the legislation creates, since they are the LEGISLATURE and he is the EXECUTIVE! DUH!!! Take a basic civics course and you would understand the princinples of trias politicas (montesquieu). Obama can’t do anything, other than make an executive order (like Bush did to dance over most of your constitutional freedoms) but it would be difficult to do so under the guise of health care reform (much easier with imaginary bad guys like terrorists, who before you bite my head off, clearly exist, but are responsible for less deaths and monetary loss than the health care industry is).
