Doesn’t the twenty-seventh amendment (1992) states that no payraise of senators or congresspeople can take effect before at least one election has passed after it’s been voted?
I don’t mind tar and feathers, bring those along too, but there is something dramatic (dare I say majestic) in the image of the proletariat marching through the mall, torch light glinting off the pitchfork tines, heading for The Capitol steps… (That one will get another page in my file)
