I’m trying to figure out this “spending is bad” talking point.

Libs were, indeed, complaining about the Bush deficit, but not because of the deficit itself. It was what we were doing with it. We were putting money into things that wouldn’t net us any return on that investment.

Think about it this way. How much of a return on investment do you get from both of these:

$1m bomb. $1m school.

(Hint: The $1m school returns more money than the $1m bomb.)

Well, if Obama claims to be all done and victorious and says the recession is gone, then it goes on for another 7 years, then this cartoon will make sense. Otherwise it’s just a wingnut misrepresenting what’s going on.
