fennec, true enough. I’m concerned about these institutions having time to take root, not destroyed by intimidation. The Afgan Army and policeforce is still green and not eactly trusted. Know you know this but I’m just voicing an opinion.

There’s a slight difference in goals between the others that went to Afghanistan and us. Let’s see if anyone can figure out the nuance.
Then again, as self-evident in the editorial cartoons and comments thereof on the Stimulus Package, nuance isn’t the forte of some….
