Yes she did indeed do better on the debates than in previous appearancs. Kinda’ like an eighth grader who had failed a civics test making a C- on a retake after three weeks of tutoring.

The repubs are so pleased that they have already stated that she will NOT BE AVAILABLE for any more ‘interviews’, scripted or any other. Now that IS a successful outcome of the debates.

Hey, she didn’t trip over her own feet coming on stage and she didn’t choke on her gum.   But does she know how to spell “potatoe”?

DH, She has already had an interview (the next day). You must have been reading a far-left blog. You can’t believe anything they say. What is the deal with all the hate for Palin? I thought you libs were the tolerant ones. I guess you are only tolerant with people who agree with you.

gbrucewilson, you misunderstand. “Hate” for Palin implies some form of visceral, emotional reaction presumably arbitrary in nature. As a proud American, I find it extremely alarming that an ill-educated person who apparently believes that the world was created 6,000 years ago and that the End Days are imminent would be selected by John “I don’t want to select another Dan Quayle” McCain, and indeed that she might feel God destined her to go there.

I’m wondering when she was quoted saying “the world is 6,000 years old and is in the End Days” Could you post the thread for me?

I would love to see Ms. Palin respond directly and substantively to specific questions regarding the Earth’s age and the validity of the theory of evolution.

It is always refreshing and not a bit surprising whenever we do get a direct and substantive response to any question from Governor Palin.

Hate? No. Suspicion? Good flick. Besides, Quayle never exhibited egregious, overreaching ambition.

Rabbit, Obama has been attending a church for 20 years that spouts anti-American and anti-white garbage. And he never heard it. Maybe Palin never heard it either. I’d rather have some religious as VP than a communist as prez. It is correct that I misstated when I suggested “hate” was involved with Palin. It is “hate” and “fear”. If Obama gets elected, you better “hold on to your butt”. Obama will take it and everything else you own.

“Communist?” Are we talking about the same guy? We’re reverting back to the 1950s? Like I said, no way a Harvard Law School graduate is a socialist, let alone a Communist.

George W. Bush has managed to alienate all of our allies around the world (contrast with his father’s performance in Gulf War I), destroy our economy, and undermine science in this country for political gain. Our next president can potentially turn this around, but they have to live in this century, not the 16th. Someone who can seriously believe that the world was created 6,000 years ago, as her religion states – not just her parish – is dangerously ignorant of science. Someone who might believe that the End Days are near and will start with a war in the Mideast, is the kind of person who might help it along. Dubya’s Israel and mideast policy (support Israel but don’t work seriously towards peace) is consistent with this particular evangelical view. Note that one of his biggest supporters is Tim LaHaye.

She won with her answer-dodging and sound-bite responses. Yay! Water down the thought pool!
