    Welcome, everybody…..

You’ve found the place to post your comments for ….

the March 14th, 2018 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Which, as always, you can read on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    Do watch your head, though!

    Margaret is flying again!

She doesn’t get a lot of altitude, and you might think it’s a silly pursuit…

    but I’ll tell you this….

    She’s quite athletic.

Roger likes to give those orders casually…..

but it takes some muscle to move those poles, with the heavy 1.3 HP engines attached.

Especially using that strange backwards overhand grip with her right hand.

No fair broaching the subject (avoiding the term “bringing up”) of hot dogs just before bed. Now I will wake up for a midnight snack.

Herb’s advice is sound. One prop provides lift. The other provides thrust. But getting it all coordinated is why helicopter flying is so tough.

There are times I wish somebody could read my word balloons too…and I theirs. Then again, it would be nice to be able to just take an eraser to mine once in awhile.

You can’t convince me Claude didn’t do it on purpose!

Right…. someone always making puns is going to innocently confuse “night rate” and “nitrate.”

That’s the word pair always dragged out in linguistics class, acting class….

anywhere some instructor wants the students to realise that we unconsciously use different pronunciations of letters in different contexts…

because we think we pronounce them the same but we don’t.

So…. sorry Claude… not buying it.

Just own the pun, and be done with it….

Clara hasn’t actually murdered you for making one…. yet.

    Speaking of pronunciation….

    Psst…. Liverlips….

    “Herb” should be pronounced Roger."

    Meanwhile….

    It’s March 14th….. 3.14.

    Happy Pi Day!

Do help yourself to a piece of pi…..

I recommend eating it at 1:59

Sorry, those of you who use UK or European date format will have to wait till 22/7.

I’ll try to bring more pi then.

We used to live in the San Fernando Valley (L.A.) and there was a small chain called Cupid’s Hot Dogs. Best chili/mustard/onion dogs around. They were still in their casings, so they were extra juicy and snapped when you bit into them. Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

And yes, NH. I’m sure they’re not good for us!
