Just stopping by quickly. We’re back in Calgary and I am having major computer probs. I hope you all have a wonderful day. Terry thanks for all the breakies. DocT say Hi to Wildcheetah, Dry, BMonk, Serena, & Yukoneric enjoy a wonderful day but be safe! I know the storms are bad in parts of the states. Akenta we missed you! Thanks for the warm wishes and deposit to the bank. DToad are you in Calgary for the season? The weather has finally turned nice. I’m telling everyone I brought it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS TRIBE

Services went well at my church last night, we have an 11pm Traditional Service with all the trimmings. Crucifer, candle bearers, Bible bearer and the combined choir called the ‘Festival Choir’. There’s six of us in the Chancel Choir and about 15-20 in Joyful Noise. Some of Joyful Noise goes to the 6pm children’s service or 8pm contemporary service. It’s good that we were so many, it meant I could blend without singing softly (I have a strong voice).

Anyway, I’m making the turkey, and a poached apples with cinimmon sauce, assorted veggies and stuffing and potatoes. Dessert is the apples, pecan pie, monkey bread and anything else sweet I can dig up. My pastor checked with me last night to make sure we had enough food, and I told him between Angel Food and what the church gave on Monday I had a good pantry and was having a feast. My son and his girlfriend will be over, as weil as a couple of close friends who were going to be alone today. Between their food pantry and mine we have a really good meal planned.

Speaking of which, got to run. I hope everyone has a wonderful time!! I may or may not pop in on occasion, we’re watching movies, too.

Oh, before I forget, it’s been a busy week.

MoPar did Mrs Mopar get her surgery? Is she ok? I’ve been spinning prayer wheels.

Just popping in to say a quick hello. We made it safely to FL, but I can only get an internet connection inside the community center building in this senior citizen gated community. Therefore, I don’t get much time on-line. I’m not sorry to miss out on the snow. We’ve gotten plenty of rain, but thankfully none of the freezing variety. (We got out of KS before it hit there.) Peace and Goodwill to All!

Hope Santa was good to everyone. I managed to surprise my mother not once, but twice. That’s a record.

We are having a wet Christmas (much more common than white in southeast VA). Currently 55 and raining.

Santa just left my place. Rather than cookies and milk, we traditionally leave pickled jalapenos and Patron. He tends to linger after his rounds, becomes somewhat garrulous, tells off-color jokes, visits the facilities, wakes the reindeer, and takes off with a rather wobbly “see ya next year!”

Quite heart-warming, really.

The “pants below the butt thing” is derived from the fact that inmates inducted into jail must give up their belts, and are issued ill-fitting garments from jail stock. Upon release, some parolees continue to wear ill-fitting garments, some droopy, as a badge of honor among those who consider jail-time a positive experience.

*Well I’m in seventh heaven, listening to my cd’s that my kids burned for me as part of my Chiristmas present, here on my computer, and I figured out how to get them to play on my own, had to make some changes and download a newer version of itunes but I figured it out ALL BY MYSELF! *

NEXT THING I’M GOING TO DO IS FIGURE OUT TO BURN MY OWN CD’S, but that’s been one of my kids gifts to me the past couple of Christmases. I give them each a list and then they burn the cd’s for me. I look forward to that every year!
