Difficult to say…
I would have thought Ahmad Jannati from the Guardian Council but he wears glasses.
Here Ayatollah Khamenei has his glasses on so one would think consistency for the other fella to have his if he usually wore them.
Any country with a supreme leader cannot be a democracy. Iranian elections are only for show, a candidate cannot even run unless he is chosen by the ayatollah.
The founders of the United States did not need Iran to show them the need to keep religion out of politics - they had only to look at the religious wars here in Europe. Sad to see that hard-earned lesson ignored….

I thought it was Mousavi, and the cartoonist was suggesting that it didn’t matter who won – the Ayatollah controls things anyway.

Not quite right cab. The supreme council decides on candidates. It is true that they are currently supporting Khameni.
