Opus really shouldn’t sit so close to the TV, he’s going to ruin his eyesight!

Back in the day, Dan Rather became briefly famous for his home-spun country boy cliches, some of which were funny. This strip is making fun of him with one of Opus’ home-spun penguin cliches.

i wish there were good tv news anchors like rather and cronkite than the empty heads at fox news. those clowns are a bunch of paranoid racists. the blonde girls are always making that face where they smell bad cheese all the time. fox news should put the fox in fox news. for example, have the blonde girls all read the news in the nude just like their uk counterparts. and, admit that the hack voicemails of celebs and crime victims.

What can you do,? Back then you had only a few channels, the 3 networks, pbs , and any independent channel in your area.( I still remember getting of my school bus in Baytown, Tx in time to watch cheesy Godzilla movies) . But now you have upteemth channels, plus the net to find the news that agrees with you.
