Well, if talking teddy bears are real, why can’t Nigerian princes be real?

This sounds suspiciously like the Bush economic recovery plan.

@ Greg –Don’t be silly, Greg.

@ cabrobst – A rich guy sharing his money? Doesn’t sound too Republican. ;-)

@ bald – It reminds me of that old Simpsons gag, “For eternal happiness, send one dollar to ‘Happy Guy!’”

    @Turnbloom: Re: Giving away money

Oh, like Bill & Melinda Gates, T. Boone Pickens and Warren Buffet? (To pick the first three names off the top of my head. I discount Buffet’s support for Obama as being due to exceptional circumstances.) Incidentally, have you taken a look at the charitable contribution amounts listed for Obama’s Cabinet nominees? (Both the ones who actually made it and the ones who withdrew for not paying their taxes.)

If you’re going to beat up on conservatives and Republicans, at least pick an argument with some legs. Lord know there’s enough to pound us with.

And it might be a good idea to keep politics and religion out of the discussions here, unless of course you WANT ”Imagine This” to be like, say, ”State of the Union”.

@CoBass – Whoa, whoa, hold on a sec – that was totally just a joke response. Actually, there was also a hidden jab at Dems as well as Republicans in my comment.

I swear, no politics in “Imagine THIS.”

Well, if you don’t include the upcoming storyline where Obama appoints Tron as the Cyber Czar.

    ;-)

Okay friends, it’s all good! You won’t get anymore political stuff from me. Cool?

…Unless I do that Tron Cyber Czar storyline thing. Which I’m really thinking about …

This toon is an escape from the everyday shiz we ALL endure. A comic, for everyone to enjoy!

    Happy Friday peeps!

Sorry Darin, but he told me he was sending the money to me. But tell you what, since you seem like a nice guy, I’d be willing to split it with you for $500. Send me your address and bank account info along with a money order and I’ll get the transfer set up for you.

@Turnbloom: OK, if it was a joke, I’m sorry. However it felt like a knife, cutting very close to the bone of Republican / conservative stereotype jokes that I hear ALL THE BLEEPING TIME where I live. You have to remember - tone of voice doesn’t come through in the printed word. And I missed the smiley face.

@pookid54, @Radical-Knight: I’ve seen your comments enough places elsewhere on GoComics and comics.com, and you’ve seen, or should have seen, my comments enough places that you know, or should know, I’m neither a troll, a bigot or a n00b. I had a personal hot-button pushed, OK? I said there are plenty of good reason to bash us conservatives that people don’t have to make up reasons. Does that sound like a troll? Or like someone who wishes the Republican Party hadn’t given America good reason to fire them?

In addition to the Internet rule of “Never post in anger”, I (and perhaps others) should also have remembered this quote which I’ve seen attributed to both Winston Churchill and Robert Heinlein. Not directly applicable here, but pretty close.

“Never attribute to malice what may be adequately explained by stupidity.”

    Peace, OK?

CoBass - Sorry Bro, that was not meant to be aimed at you. I was just at several sites before this and SOTU just burned me up. Sorry.

@ Pookid: Just curious. Is “Summer’s Eve” an aphorism for something that should be censored? ☺

Turnbloom: Good one. The ‘toon actuality satirizes a real scam that happens, so it’s funny even if you aren’t American.

And I can vouch for Radical. He’s one cool guy who keeps his cool- unless he passes through SOTU, which is understandably the least cool strip for it commentators. (The strip itself is funny though to us non-political types.)
