So, what does a towing rider on that space ship insurance policy cost anyway?

The Lewis & Clark reference is the point where the class was at the moment in Calvin’s day dream. It is the question posed to Calvin by Miss Wormwood during his mind’s wandering. His day dreams are his escape from, to him, the boredom of the classroom and to escape the reality of not being prepared for his lessons.

LX013, Lewis and Clark were two famous Americans who led an expedition to explore the newly acquired American west from St. Louis (on the Mississippi River) to the Pacific back in 1803-1806. Their journals are filled with descriptions of the environment–landscape, vegetation, animals, and the Native Americans they encountered. All American school children learn about these two famous explorers.

Don’t do much for the hero’s Report Card tho.

The evil Zorg King looks more like a dizzy combination of crustacean, cephalopod and mantidae rolled into one, but that doesn’t stop Spiff from looking cool in those space shades…….

I would guess it’s because Hobbes is probably not allowed in the classroom where Calivin does his “traveling”. But I am sure he is there is spirit.

It would probably cost as much as Calvin values not cleaning his room… which is about the price of a little boys soul ;)

Lewis & Clark were requested to travel longest trip with the Native American/Shoeshone Indian, Sacajawea, who guided the men up to Northwest lands by President Jefferson. Wink!

bmonk, even if you and I pooled our weekly allowances, we could not afford a towing rider for the planet Zorg.
